Let me tell you a story of battles won and lost, kings and queens, kingdoms and cities.

A long time ago before Loc Morin had been built, the High Kingdom of Arerin was once a tribe, Ulfenhiem.

 Dawn of the First Era

Ch.1

To understand the High Kingdom you must first travel back in time to its origins. The High Kingdom started first as a Barbarian Tribe known as the Ulfenhiem. The Ulfenhiem had come from Norland, the Lands far North. They had established themselves in the Elven Dominated Eorlin region, the Elven Kingdom of Silorn under the reign of King Zazka Veya was the power to be reconciled with in this region, though let it be known that many Elven civilizations were scattered about the entire world, so Silron was not the only entity.

The Elves of Silorn viewed the young barbaric race as just that, Barbarians. After watching the Humans grow they found that Human contained some level of intelligence and soon became interested in the newly forged race. Under King Zazka's rule the Ulfenhiem were enslaved. They were used as workers to build the magnificent Elven Cities that once dotted the Eorlin region. These cities were rivaled only by the constructs of the ancient dwarves.
The Ulfenhiem were mistreated and belittled by their Elven Masters and eventually came to revolt. The Ulfenhiem raised their fists under the guidance of Ulfgar Bone Breaker, later known as Ulfgar The Mighty. Ulfgar led the Ulfenhiem to freedom, and eventually killed the Tyrant King Zazka. For many centuries the Ulfenhiem prospered, warring with other tribes form the North and South. Ulfgar is known is many legends. He had done many great things which were etched in this young history, though that is a story all of its own. Ulfgar eventually died, having bore many sons and daughters. It was not until one hundred years after the Death of Ulfgar that the new Chieftain of Ulfenhiem, Malgar Gray Face had son brought into the world, this son was Nero.

 The Dark Wars (First Era)

Ch. 2

Malgar Gray Face had much on his plate during this Chapter of Ulfenhiem history, at this point in time the Ulfenhiem bore armor and weapons of steel, they looked more like Viking raiders than shirtless Barbarians. It was during this time when the Dark Wars began. The Lands of Xilem had housed a great Evil, the Last Dark Lord of Xilem had swept across the land with his mighty horde of beasts and dark creatures. They threatened to swallow Old Ulfenhiem, but there was one among them who would be the defining factor in the defense of Ulfenhiem: Nero. Nero was 27 years of age and bore the Ancient Blade Of Silorn. It is said that he bested the ancient tomb of the Old Elven Tyrant Zazka to retrieve the weapon.

The blade was forged from refined Mithril, and was enchanted by the High Elven Wizards of Old. Zargoth was the Dark Lord Of Xilem, and rightfully so. Zargoth stood 12 feet tall, and 6 feet wide; his skin was as black as night, and his soul as hot as smelted iron. The Dark Wars waged on for many years, and Nero in the end stood victorious. The Blade Of Silorn had been driven through the stone heart of Zargoth and his minions lost all will to fight, eventually fleeing back to the Dark Lands.

It was after this period that Nero founded the Principality Of Eorlin. It is said this was one of the first organized Human civilizations at the time, though that is highly unlikely. It was, however, the first in the Eorlin region.

The Principality Of Eorlin (Middle First Era)

Ch. 3

The Principality was a step up from the usual tribal system which had previously been practiced. Now the people of the Eorlin region had an organized Government, and the emergence of a Caste system arose. There were many different Caste for different jobs. The Principality flourished on this system, though the caste system was far from perfect it was a step in the right direction. Eventually many more small groups and clans of people began to emerge around the Principality, and eventually the Principality took them all, after Centuries of bickering. This the ushered in the Era of the Kingdom of Arerin.

The Kingdom of Arerin (End Of First Era)

Ch. 4

The Principality of Eorlin was transformed into the Kingdom of Arerin, that now made their capitol high upon the Misty Mountain in a long abandoned Dwarven City. The Kingdom of Arerin flourished under many notable figures. The caste system was soon dissolved and a system of classes was integrated, so now emerged the Peasant, Middle, and Noble classes.

The Kingdom of Arerin was prosperous in its early years but soon came to find other lesser Kingdoms around its borders. These Lesser Kingdoms caused issues for Arerin, as they raided and pillaged unprotected farms and towns for their own personal wealth. Arerin eventually retaliated and took these Kingdoms, expanding its dominion over the land. Arerin grew with each Lesser Kingdom that joined or fell to them. It was not until the Discovery of the four other Great Kingdoms that Arerin slowed down. The Kingdom of Patora, The Kingdom Of Vale, The Kingdom Of Artia, and the Kingdom Of Tritius were all powers to be reckoned with. The Great Kingdoms were the result of the Sons of Ulfgar who had spread across the Continent and founded homesteads and Lands of their own in the first age. The five Kingdoms enjoyed a mutual peace throughout their lands and holdings, communication was paramount at this time, and all flourished with trade between the five. This new age of peace brought fourth the dawn of the Second Era.

The Dawn Of The Second Era

Ch. 5

The beginning of Second Era was a very calm era; no great occurrences happened during this period. The five Kingdoms simply grew and prospered. The few happenings that did show themselves in the Eorlin region during this time were small and insignificant. The rise of many lesser Kingdoms around the Eorlin were prominent, though none of the five Kingdoms were willing to take these small Kingdoms which laid on their borders; they were more concerned with trade and filling their coffers than war. No one wanted to disrupt the peace that all were enjoying in this era. It was around this time where many wealthy merchant families emerged, benefiting from the peace and the lucrative trading treaties each of the five Kingdoms had established. After a few centuries of this peace the Kingdom of Patora became envious of some of the Wealth the other four Kingdoms were receiving during this peace ,as it was the Kingdom of Patora that kept the menacing creatures and beasts of Xilem at bay so that the Eorlin Region could enjoy this peace. Thus King Nezer initiated events that would change the Eorlin Region forever.

The Ageless War And Dawn of The Third Era

Ch. 6

The Kingdom of Patora was ruled by the Royal House Drakonis. Drakonis had fought the evils of Xilem for Centuries; the blood of their warriors seeking both glory and defense of the Kingdom Of Patora. It was because of this long Histroy of war with Xilem that King Nezer felt he and the people of Patora deserved more then was given by the other four Kingdoms. Thus he began the Ageless War. This war engulfed the whole of the five Kingdoms, lasting 100 Years. During the Ageless War, many Lesser Kingdoms came to join the Kingdom of Arerin. The same can be said about the Greater Kingdoms, such as Vale and Tritius, though the Kingdom of Artia stayed true to Patora. With all the lesser Kingdoms and the two Great Kingdoms joining the Arerin campaign against Patora, the High Kingdom of Arerin was forged by Alexius Isen. Eventually a final battle located on the Outskirts of the City of Patora itself. The High Kingdom stood victorious, and Patora was eventually assimilated into the High Kingdom of Arerin.
